so there’s this killer consulting gig with a VC company called venrock (good old school firm, based on rockefellers original vc fund)

just applied for it

how’d i find it? i didn’t…

sent out an email to a few friends asking for a backdoor into macromedia for another gig

one of the people i emailed monitors a news group called WIC — women in consulting

i would never have known otherwise

this confirms my long held suspicion that the current brokers of person-person interaction services started with the wrong paradigm

the question is if, this “late” in the internet space, a mass consumer database of users can be created affordably and if the network of relationship based services can be united

this is the .net premise that msft now appears to be (somewhat) downplaying; the thing that’s been itching at me for years

is it too late?
