Apple to Release iTunes for Motorola Phones: "Although the number of songs will be limited to the flash memory storage space inside the phones, most units should be able to hold a few dozen songs, at least, making them the missing piece in Apple's music playback device plan. iPod and iPod mini for those that want a dedicated, large-capacity music device; iTunes phones for those who just need a few songs here and there."

Ultimately, I think this is the beginning of the end of the iPod as we know it. Sure, it may take a couple of years, but as soon as either a) I can [affordably] insert a 4MB+ flash card in my cell phone, or b) cell's start including a 0.8-1.0 inch hard drive, I'll no longer have a need for a dedicated music player.
